-          Municipal swimming pool complex: opened in 1996, the swimming pool has been one of the resources that have contributed the most to the leisure of the marteños; the stays of the returnees in summer are much more entertaining.  It includes a children’s pool and an ample garden area with trees and parasols, a bar-terrace, a terrace with views of the pool and a dining area ideal for the night. 

-          Rural house, bars and restaurants: it was inaugurated in 1999. It was set in rural and hunting areas; it has 8 rooms with a bathroom, as well as a dining and a bar. It is located in the Plaza Mayor (Main Square). In addition to the pool bar and the house bar, there are two other bars located on the village square; one of them also has a disco-dining room at the entrance of the road of Caceres.

Today Santa Marta has remarkable social infrastructures, which in many cases, other towns with a higher population do not have. In recent years we have undertaken numerous works and improvements that make our village a better place to live.

-          The accessibility is excellent thanks to the works such as the improvement of the road that goes to Trujillo.

-          The water supply was guaranteed with the construction of our own reservoir, although the water was of poor quality. This problem was resolved on 2^nd December 2015 thanks to the connection of the municipality to the supply system of the Reservoir of St. Lucia, in Las Villuercas. 

-          A fundamental fact in the recent history of our village has been the creation of a nursing home in 2011. This has meant that our elders do not have to leave their village, in addition to an important source of employment. In these years it has been consolidated as a quality residence, expanding the facilities and the activities, a process that we are still carrying out. Next to the residence are the pharmacy and the doctor's office.

-          The village has a wide range of sports facilities: 

·  Two sports tracks: one to play indoor football and another to play basketball and tennis

·         A football field

·         Paddle tennis court

·         Gym

-          The Town Hall has a number of premises in which the municipal associations such as the women or pensioners, gather and carry out their activities.

-          The "Leisure centre" is in the old building of the Brotherhood Association. It is a space that is widely used by young marteños, since it has various elements of leisure and entertainment: Library, board games, billiards, table football, ping-pong table, computers with Internet connection, WIFI network, video game console, television, etc. It is also the place where we sometimes organize courses, workshops, meetings or public events.

-          Several parks and recreation areas complete the spaces intended to the leisure of the people, with elements for children like swings and slides, but also for the exercise of the elderly, like benches, tables, etc.

-          In the "Plaza de Toros" (bullring), so called because of its circular shape, or "outdoor leisure centre", we organize activities on public holidays. It takes place, among others, the verbena in the Festivities or the "Slaughter".
